If you feel that your matter is an emergency please call an ambulance on 111.
If you call the surgery after hours for urgent care you will be transferred to a registered nurse who will be able to assist you.
On Arrival at the practice:
When you arrive and book in for your appointment, please inform the reception staff if
you have any of the following symptoms:
- Chest pain
- Difficulty breathing
- Severe abdominal pain
- Major bleeding
- Any change in consciousness
If you are caring for a child attending an appointment please let the receptionist know if
they have had:
- Diarrhoea
- Vomiting
- High fever
- Lethargy
- A new rash
If you are pregnant please let us know if:
- You have pain, bleeding or reduced movement of the baby
- If your membranes have ruptured (waters broken)
If we know this, we may be able to arrange a more urgent appointment or we can monitor you closely until the doctor is free to see you.
At Mountain Lakes Medical we will always inform you if a test result is abnormal, concerning or requires further action.
If your test results are normal it is our practice policy that you will not routinely be informed. Your GP/nurse will discuss this with you in your consultation.
You are welcome to call to discuss any test results with the practice nurse. If you are registered with the portal then you may view your test results securely online.
You specifically wish to be informed of all test results, just let the doctor/nurse know when you see them.

We are located just outside of Frankton at the Five Mile retail development. You will find us above AMI insurance, on the first floor, in suite 8. There is a lift available next to the stairs.
Home Visits
Yes we can! Please ask for times and fees. Mountain Lakes Medical employs 24 hour Registered Nurse Phone Triage. Registered nurses are able to field your queries and discuss your concerns at any time. For enrolled patients with appropriate urgent or emergency issues, our staff are available for after-hours consultation, at an additional cost.

If you need to cancel any booking please call us as soon as are aware. Whilst every endeavour will be made to make a new booking of your choice, we may be limited in appointment availability.

All account are required to be settled on the day. If you are aware of any difficulties you may have paying your account please alert our front desk staff BEFORE you see the doctor. Whilst we always try and accommodate each and every patient we need to know the circumstance of any payments arrangements. We accept all major credit cards & cash. We do not accept cheques.
